Description:
Soft rubber motor an drivetrain mounts are an easy solution for OEMs to keep vehicles quiet and isolated to suit a wide range of driver preferences and let their vehicles appeal to the broadest audience possible. Unfortunately these ultra-soft mounts allow a significant amount of powertrain movement under changing loads, during shifts, and when getting on and off the throttle. To make matters worse the significant movement afforded by these mounts also contributes to them wearing quickly and allowing even more unchecked movement and can contribute to a sloppy feel and additional drivetrain noise. SuperPro's OEM mount insert or supplement bushings offer an ideal compromise for enthusiasts who wish to maintain the civility of the OEM rubber mounts while removing much of their inherent sloppy disconnected feel. These insert bushings fill the large voided/open areas in the OEM bushings and offer a more solid and connected feel while drastically reducing unwanted movement. Because they typically reduce the range of movement as well the OEM rubber lives a longer life. Best of all the insert bushings only really make themselves known in aggressive acceleration, engine braking and during harder manual shifts when the bushings load up and compress the inserts to limit movement.
