This intake features Volant's high performance MaxFlow 5, 5 layer oiled cotton gauze air filters are made of the highest quality textiles, pleated between a top and bottom aluminum screen. Each filter comes pre-oiled and ready for use. This filter is specifically designed to allow the highest air flow rate possible for maximum power gains but deliver a very long filter life and maintenance intervals (up to 40K miles depending on driving conditions). Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Factory air inlet ducts use sound baffles and awkward bends which restrict flow. Our Cross-Link polyethylene air ducts are sculptured to give the engine less restrictive breathing. Incorportating larger diameters and unique bends that cant be duplicated with metal ducts allow maximum airflow velocity and throttle response. This model includes a Pro-5 filter which gets reoiled every 10,000 miles and serviced every 50,000 miles with cleaning kit P/N 5100.
